BARRICK COMPLETES SALE OF ALTURAS PROJECT

Barrick Mining Corp. has completed the divestiture of the Alturas project in Chile to Boroo Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) for an upfront cash payment of $50-million. All amounts are expressed in U.S. dollars. In addition, Barrick has been granted a 0.5-per-cent net smelter return royalty on gold and silver produced from the project, which will terminate once two million ounces of gold and gold equivalent have been produced. Boroo may repurchase the royalty within four years from closing for $10-million.
