ATKINSREALIS WELCOMES CANADA'S NUCLEAR ENERGY STRATEGY, ADVANCING CANDU AS A CORNERSTONE OF NATIONAL STRENGTH AND GLOBAL LEADERSHIP

A strategy anchored by Candu technology delivers enduring economic value at home, sustaining a national supply chain of more than 250 companies and 90,000 highly skilled workers across engineering, manufacturing, construction and operations.

Candu new builds, refurbishments and export projects will further strengthen Canada's industrial base and ensure critical expertise is retained, advanced and passed to the next generation.

The strategy, which spans new builds, exports, fuel and next-generation innovation, aligns policy with capability and ambition with execution. Importantly, it also ensures energy sovereignty in Canada and internationally given the fuel flexibility and domestic supply capabilities inherent with Candu technology.
