BROOKFIELD ASSET MANAGEMENT SHAREHOLDER MEETING

Due to a postal strike in Canada, Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. will not be able to mail its meeting materials to meet regulatory requirements for its coming special meeting of shareholders originally to be held on Dec. 20, 2024. Brookfield Asset is working with regulators to ensure these requirements are met in the most expeditious manner possible and continues to believe that it will be able to meet its timeline of closing the transaction in the first quarter of 2025.

Brookfield Asset will file an amended notice of meeting and record date on SEDAR+ and on EDGAR with the new date for the meeting once it has been determined. The record date for determining shareholders eligible to vote at the postponed meeting will remain Nov. 12, 2024.

The meeting has been called to consider the previously announced arrangement, which is still expected to close in early 2025, subject to court approval and other customary closing conditions. Additional information regarding the arrangement and the details of the meeting will be provided in the information circular for the meeting, which will also be filed by Brookfield Asset on SEDAR+ and on EDGAR.
