The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Feb. 18, edition that Citi analyst Bryan Burgmeier continues to rate GFL Industries "buy." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Burgmeier cut his share target by a buck to $55 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $56.80. Mr. Burgmeier says in a note: "Shares are down 1.7 per cent since strong Q4 results and '26 guidance. While guidance is below consensus, GFL assumes 1.36 CAD/USD (implying a $140-million revenue and $45-million EBITDA headwind) vs. est. potentially assuming roughly neutral FX, consistent with rates from early January. Industry-leading margin expansion is intact as GFL expects 100 basis points benefit from net price and internal investments partially offset by commodities (negative 25 basis points), FX, carbon credits and Q1 hurricane volume comps (negative 5 basis points each). We model '26 EBITDA $158-million to $2.14-billion, with tailwinds from M&A ($40-million), EPR ($25-million) and RNG ($5-million) partially offset by commodities ($22-million) and FX ($45-million). Our estimates are mostly unchanged on constant-currency. ... We estimate GFL is trading on 13 times '27 estimated EBITDA."
