The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday edition that Scotia Capital analyst Divya Goyal has reiterated her "sector outperform" call on CGI. The Globe's David Leeder writes that Ms. Goyal gave his share target a $10 trim to $175 (all figures Canadian unless otherwise stated). Analysts on average target the shares at $173.29. Ms. Goyal is taking a bearish stance on North American technology services companies heading into earnings season. Ms. Goyal says in a note: "Considering the current business momentum and ongoing market sentiment, we have revised some of our price targets revaluing the companies in line with their current valuation and peer comparable. Though the DX players look attractive at current valuations, we expect the ongoing macro uncertainty to result in sustained volatility across these stocks over the next few quarters, hence recommend investor caution across these stocks in the near-term." Ms. Goyal also lowered his share target for Alithya Group and Telus International, both of which he rates "sector perform." She cut his Alithya share target to $2.50 from $2, the consensus being $2.61. For Telus Ms. Goyal shaved her share target to $3 (U.S.) from $5 (U.S.), the consensus being $4.43 (U.S.).
