The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Sept. 18, edition that Raymond James analyst Daniel Magder has commenced coverage on Northisle Copper and Gold with an "outperform" recommendation and a $7 share target. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $6.11. Mr. Magder says in a note: "Northisle is advancing the 100-per-cent-owned North Island project in British Columbia, a district-scale copper-gold porphyry project anchored by the Hushamu, Red Dog, Northwest Expo and West Goodspeed deposits. Supported by a phased development strategy, significant resource growth, a strengthened balance sheet, and favourable existing infrastructure, we believe Northisle is well positioned to advance the North Island project toward development while retaining meaningful exploration upside." The Globe reported on May 29 that Ventum Capital analyst Taylor Combaluzier, who was then the lone analyst covering Vancouver-based NorthIsle, resumed coverage with a "buy" rating and $5.50 share target. The shares could then be had for $3.04.
