The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 18, edition that CIBC World Markets analyst Jacob Bout is maintaining his "outperformer" recommendation for Nutrien. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Bout gave his share target a $4 trim to $60 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $59.66.
Mr. Bout says in a note, "We are currently seeing a potash market with supply/demand fundamentals more balanced, nitrogen and phosphate prices more robust, better nitrogen operating reliability, and lower capex levels." The Globe reported on April 13 that Mr. Bout continued to rank Nutrien "outperform." The shares could then be had for $52.92. The Globe's David Berman recommended buying Nutrien on Aug. 10 when it was worth $45.04. The Globe reported on Oct. 3 that RBC Dominion Securities analyst Andrew Wong was keeping his "outperform" recommendation for Nutrien intact. The shares could then be had for $49.94.
