The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Nov. 6, edition that Ahead of Nutrien's third quarter earnings release on Thursday, TD Cowen analyst Michael Tupholme trimmed his share target for to $63 from $64 with an unchanged "buy" recommendation (all figures U.S.). The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $59.40. Mr. Tupholme says in a note: "Our Q3 EBITDA estimate is essentially in line with consensus. We have made various adjustments to our forecast, but overall, our estimates are not materially changed. We remain encouraged by Nutrien's expectation that fertilizer sales volumes and retail EBITDA will grow in 2024. Meanwhile, we see potential for improvement in key fertilizer prices over time. We see Nutrien as offering attractive long-term value." The Globe's David Berman recommended buying Nutrien on Aug. 10 when it was worth $45.04. The Globe reported on Oct. 3 that RBC Dominion Securities analyst Andrew Wong was keeping his "outperform" recommendation for Nutrien intact. The shares could then be had for $49.94. The Globe reported on Oct. 18 that CIBC World Markets analyst Jacob Bou rated Nutrien "outperformer." It was then worth $47.68.
