The Financial Post reports in its Wednesday edition that Tim Hortons plans to open its first merchandise pop-up store, "Timshop," at the Eaton Centre in Toronto for the holiday season. The Post's Denise Paglinawan writes the shop will be the first of its kind for the brand and an extension of its Timshop on-line merch store. The pop-up is expected to be open from early November to roughly the end of December, and will carry the same merchandise available on its on-line store at the same prices. The shop will also feature some exclusive items and a range of offerings at different price points for holiday gifts. "You'll find everything from apparel to drinkware to holiday merchandise," the fast-food company said. Toronto retail blog 6ix Retail reported that the 1,856-square-foot store will occupy the former Bentley location in a high-traffic hallway on the Eaton Centre's first floor. Dustin Fuhs, editor-in-chief of 6ix Retail, wrote that the pop-up Timshop has potential for retail success. The company has sold limited collections through its restaurants and on-line, proving consumer demand exists, Mr. Fuhs said. Earlier successes include the Timbiebs collaboration with Justin Bieber, and National Coffee Day apparel.
