The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Sept. 22, edition that ATB Cormark Capital Markets analyst Nicolas Dion has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Allied Gold. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Dion gave his share target a $5 boost to $40. Analysts on average target the shares at $42.80. Mr. Dion says in a note: "Allied has connected Kurmuk to the Ethiopian electrical grid and is feeding the first ore through its crushing circuit, marking two major milestones on the mine ramp-up. Allied expects to soon introduce ore to the grinding circuit, with first gold expected shortly thereafter. The addition of Kurmuk will provide a substantial lift to Allied's production profile, reduce overall AISC, and should drive an FCF inflection in 2027." The Globe reported on Aug. 7 that National Bank analyst Mohamed Sidibe continued to rate Allied Gold "sector perform." The shares were then going for $30.49. The Globe reported on Aug. 26 that Canaccord Genuity analyst Carey MacRury was keeping his "buy" call on Allied Gold intact. The shares could then be had for $32.69.
