Altiplano Makes Application for Management Cease Trade Order

As Part of the 2026 Audit Filing Process

EDMONTON AB, July 21, 2026 - Altiplano Metals Inc. (TSXV: APN) (WKN: A2JNFG) ("Altiplano" or the "Company") announces that it anticipates a delay in filing its annual financial statements for the year ended March 31, 2026, management's discussion and analysis, and the related CEO and CFO certifications (collectively, the "Required Filings"), which are due on July 29, 2026, as required under Part 4 of National Instrument 51-102 - Continuous Disclosure Obligations. Accordingly, the Company has applied for a management cease trade order (the "MCTO") under National Policy 12-203 - Management Cease Trade Orders to provide additional time to complete the Required Filings.

The delay is primarily attributable to the Company's current financial position, which has impacted the timing of payment of the outstanding audit fees required to complete the audit. Management has agreed to loan the Company the funds necessary to satisfy the outstanding audit fees, and the Company expects that payment of such fees will enable the audit to be completed and the Required Filings to be made as soon as practicable.

The Company remains committed to completing the audit and making the Required Filings as expeditiously as possible and, in any event, no later than September 28, 2026. The Company expects to file its interim first-quarter financial statements within one week thereafter.

In connection with the anticipated delays in making the Required Filings within the time periods mandated by the Instrument, the Company has made an application under National Policy 12-203 Management Cease Trade Orders ("NP 12-203") to the Alberta Securities Commission, as principal regulator for the Company, requesting that a MCTO be issued. If granted, the MCTO will restrict all trading by the Company's CEO and CFO in securities of the Company, whether direct or indirect. The issuance of the MCTO will not affect the ability of persons who are not directors, officers or insiders of the Company to trade their securities. MCTO will remain in effect until it is revoked or varied.

The Company confirms that it intends to satisfy the provisions of the alternative information guidelines described in NP 12-203 by issuing bi-weekly default status reports in the form of a news release until it meets the Required Filings requirement. The Company has not taken any steps towards any insolvency proceeding and the Company has no material information relating to its affairs that has not been generally disclosed.
