ASTRA EXTENDS HIGH-GRADE MINERALIZATION AND DEFINES REGIONAL TARGETS FOR FOLLOW-UP 10,000-20,000 METRE PROGRAM AT LA MANCHURIA

Astra Exploration Inc. has received the second and final batch of assays consisting of eight DDH holes from the phase 3 drill program at La Manchuria gold and silver project in Santa Cruz, Argentina.

Astra's chief executive officer Brian Miller commented: "Drilling at the Manchuria Hill target continues to step out and hit high-grade gold and silver intercepts, which remain open. Stepping out to define the full extent of the Manchuria Hill target will be a focus of our follow-up drill program planned for Q4 2026. Beyond Manchuria Hill, a compilation of geological and geophysical data sets have defined five priority drill targets over a four-by-four-kilometre footprint that shows the Manchuria Hill target to be a piece of a much larger epithermal system. The planned drill program of 10,000 to 20,000 metres will be split between expansion drilling and regional exploration to unlock the size potential of the Manchuria district as quickly as possible. Combined with a planned drill program on our Don Mario project in Chile, Astra's strong treasury of $12.5-million supports our significant, fully funded, discovery drilling programs over the coming months."

Program details

A total of 16 drill holes were completed between April and June, 2026, totalling 5,176 metres (see June 30, 2026, news release, "Astra Provides Exploration Update and Receives Independent Analyst Coverage From ATB Cormark Capital Markets"). The drill program focused on testing the depth (200 to 300 metres vertical) extension of the Main and Eastern zones and expanding the near-surface footprint of the system with shallow (fewer than 200 metres vertical) drill holes. Deeper drilling has not returned favourable vein widths due to a poor host lithology, but stepout holes continue to deliver strong grades and widths, which remain open in all four cardinal directions.

Drill results and discussion

The group of eight drill holes reported herein was focused on expanding the west (Basalto zone), north (Main and Eastern zones) and east (Road zone) areas of the near-surface mineralization at the Manchuria Hill target. These shallow holes consist of 50- to 200-metre stepouts, which extend the system to the west, north and east. Mineralization remains open in all four cardinal directions.

District-scale potential

The Manchuria Hill target has been the focus of Astra's exploration of the Manchuria project. While completing the current drill program, the company has been advancing regional targets to be drill-ready discovery opportunities.

The company has undertaken detailed field mapping and sampling, has doubled the size of its modelled and interpreted geophysical data sets, and has added 33,400 additional hectares of prospective area by staking open ground.

La Pampa: zone of outcropping quartz veins and float samples hosted in rhyolitic tuffs with surface sampling returning up to 1.8 grams per tonne gold.

Breccia: large two-by-three-kilometre zone of high-level epithermal clay alteration and quartz veinlets in a felsic pyroclastic sequence overlying the main host rhyolitic tuffs; strong pathfinder geochemical anomalies in rock chip and soil samples along strike from Manchuria Hill; target is to test boiling zone at depth.

Floats: abundant vein float on surface but covered by younger volcanic deposits.

Solo: quartz veins and veinlets within high-level epithermal clay alteration hosted in the felsic pyroclastic sequence overlying the rhyolitic tuffs.

Creek: magnetic anomaly like La Manchuria Main zone in an area covered by younger volcanic and surface deposits.

Table 1: Assays from the final eight holes of phase 3 drilling at La Manchuria using cut-off grade of 0.3 gram per tonne gold equivalent. Silver to gold ratio of 60 using $3,600 Au and $60 Ag. Recoveries of 94 per cent for Au and 85 per cent for Ag are an average based on three regional mine operations, and are reflected in gold equivalent and silver equivalent values above. The table shows results greater than 0.3 g/t AuEq. Estimated true widths are approximately 85 per cent of widths reported herein.

Sampling procedures

Drill samples consisted of HQ core, which were split in half, sampled, bagged and tagged by Astra's geological team and then delivered to the Alex Stewart International Argentina laboratory in Mendoza. Drill samples were prepared with P5 code and then analyzed with fire assay for gold (Au4-50) and multielements by ICP (ICP-AR 39). Silver (greater than 100 g/t) and gold (greater than 50 g/t) high-grade values were analyzed by gravity method (Ag4A-50 and Au4A-50). A total of 152 blanks and 152 standards (two different Au and Ag grade ranges) were used as quality assurance/quality control for the group of 2,893 samples.

The 100-per-cent-owned Don Mario (renamed from Cerro Bayo) project in northern Chile is located in the Maricunga belt approximately 20 km from the Refugio mine. The project hosts a high-sulphidation epithermal plus or minus porphyry gold system with similarities to La Coipa, Refugio and Salares Norte deposits in the same belt. The Maricunga belt is one of the most endowed regions in the world for gold and copper deposits.
