Mr. Jim Atkinson reports
ANTIMONY RESOURCES CORP. (ATMY) (ATMYF) (K8J0) REPORTS COMPLETION OF AIRBORNE SURVEY AT BALD HILL ANTIMONY PROJECT
Antimony Resources Corp. has completed a high-resolution aeromagnetic and electromagnetic survey on its Bald Hill antimony property, New Brunswick, Canada.
Terraquest Ltd. completed a 594-line-kilometre high-resolution aeromagnetic and VLF EM survey. Terraquest utilized a fixed-wing Cessna 208 aircraft to collect high-resolution magnetic information (cesium vapor). The aircraft also recorded digital matrix VLF-EM, during the 594-kilometre flight-line survey.
The survey was conducted to better understand the extent of the structures that control the distribution of the antimony and to identify prospective targets on the large (greater than 3,700 hectares) Bald Hill property. To date, preliminary versions of the magnetic and VLF EM and digital terraine model (DTM) have been received and will be forwarded to the company's consulting geophysicist for interpretation.
Further information will be provided from interpretation by a professional geophysicist.
The preliminary presentation of the digital terrain model shows the detailed topography of the Bald Hill area and identifies linear features which, when combined with geophysical results, could represent targets similar to the Bald Hill Main zone.
The DTM model for example represents the topography of the area and northwest-trending linear features can be identified which may be related to mineralized structures similar to the Main zone at Bald Hill, which also trends northwest.
Jim Atkinson, chief executive officer of Antimony Resources, comments: "We are excited to receive the preliminary results of the Terraquest airborne survey. The results of the magnetic and VLFEM surveys will be useful in our ongoing exploration of the Bald Hill property. The next step is an interpretation by a professional geophysicist which will combine the airborne results with the known geology and mineralization. It is anticipated that this will generate new targets for follow-up."
Bald Hill antimony project -- a project with significant antimony potential
Highlights:
- Bald Hill is a well-known, high-grade antimony deposit in southern New Brunswick, Canada.
- Assays indicate that Bald Hill is the highest-grade antimony deposit in North America with mineable grades and widths indicated by drilling.
- Drilling has outlined an antimony deposit in the Main zone over 600 metres long and to a depth of at least 350 metres. The mineralization is open in all directions.
- Widths of mineralization average four to five metres and grades average 3 per cent to 4 per cent antimony.
- National Instrument 43-101 technical report: The estimated potential quantity and grade of the drilled area from the 2025 technical report, which is the target of the company's exploration, is reported in the technical reports approximately 2.7 million tonnes with a grade between 3 per cent and 4 per cent antimony. For more details on the potential of the project as described by the author of the technical report please consult the NI 43-101, which has been filed on SEDAR+. Antimony Resources has not completed enough work to confirm this estimate. The potential quantity and grade are conceptual in nature as there has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource, and it is uncertain if further exploration will result in the target being delineated as a mineral resource.
- Potential to expand based on recently discovered targets and additional claims added to the property to the west, south and east.
- New zones outlined by soil sampling approximately three kilometres south of the Main zone on the newly acquired Second Run claim.
The technical contents of this news release were reviewed and approved by Jim Atkinson, MSc, PGeo, president and chief executive officer of Antimony Resources who is a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
