Blue Ant receives approvals for Thunderbird deal

2026-01-27 17:40 ET - News Release

Mr. Michael MacMillan reports

BLUE ANT ANNOUNCES RECEIPT OF COMPETITION BUREAU APPROVAL AND FINAL COURT APPROVAL FOR ACQUISITION OF THUNDERBIRD ENTERTAINMENT

Blue Ant Media Corp.'s proposed acquisition of Thunderbird Entertainment Group Inc. is nearing completion with the Supreme Court of British Columbia issuing a final order in connection with the previously announced plan of arrangement under the Business Corporations Act (British Columbia), pursuant to which Blue Ant will acquire all of the outstanding shares of Thunderbird.

The final order was the final approval required from the court prior to the closing of the arrangement. Additionally, the Competition Bureau has issued a no-action letter in connection with the transaction, thereby satisfying the Competition Act approval condition in the arrangement agreement. It is anticipated that the arrangement will be completed this month, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.

"We are pleased to cross two additional milestones on our path to acquiring Thunderbird," said Michael MacMillan, chief executive officer of Blue Ant. "We look forward to completing the transaction and together scaling Blue Ant for its next phase of growth."
