SCOTIABANK DIGITAL BANKING UPDATE: SIMPLIFYING EVERYDAY BANKING WITH NEW SELF-SERVE AND MONEY TRANSFER CAPABILITIES
Bank of Nova Scotia (Scotiabank) continues to enhance its Canadian mobile banking app with the latest set of digital features designed to give clients more flexibility and personalized experiences. Highlights include:
-
A redesigned Scotiabank.com and more personalized offers: Scotiabank.com has been redesigned with a simpler, mobile-first layout, making it easier for prospective clients to find and compare Scotiabank's banking products. This includes products like the Scotia High Interest Savings Account (HISA), one of Canada's first relationship-based high-interest savings accounts, where clients can earn higher regular interest rates based on their total relationship balance across eligible Scotiabank accounts. The bank is also enhancing the Scotia app to pro-actively provide eligible clients with personalized insights to help them make the most of their savings, including notifying them when they are close to reaching the next balance tier to earn a higher interest rate.
-
Personalized appointment support: Clients and prospective clients can book appointments directly through the Scotia app, with personalized reminders to help them prepare for coming meetings. E-mail reminders include appointment details, the option to add the appointment directly to their calendars and information on what documents to bring. Existing clients can also receive push notifications through the Scotia app ahead of virtual and in-person appointments, with easy access to view or adjust their appointment details.
-
More flexibility for everyday banking: The Scotia app now offers expanded self-serve options for managing credit cards -- from setting up or updating a credit card PIN (personal identification number) to replacing a damaged credit card or line-of-credit access card. Clients can also schedule future-dated and recurring Interac e-transfer transactions, giving them more flexibility to stay on top of everyday financial commitments such as paying rent or sending money to family.
These enhancements reflect Scotiabank's continuing commitment to delivering secure, seamless and client-first digital banking experiences.
Shaping the future of the client experience
This month, Scotiabank hosted its inaugural Client Innovation Day, bringing clients and Scotiabank teams together to co-create solutions based on client feedback, in real time. The event transformed client insights into new ideas and prototypes, with AI-powered (artificial intelligence) tools helping teams rapidly explore and refine these concepts. Through initiatives like these, Scotiabank is reinforcing its commitment to designing banking experiences around client needs.
