ASSAYING UNDERWAY AT COWTRAIL AND LIGHTNING STRIKE

Cariboo Rose Resources Ltd. has focused on copper and gold and owns seven projects in British Columbia, four of which are focused on gold and three of which are focused on copper.

Cowtrail copper-gold project

Earlier in the season, option partner BRS Resources Ltd. financed a four-hole, 1,293-metre drill program on the Cariboo Rose-owned Cowtrail porphyry copper-gold project located in the Cariboo region of British Columbia contiguous to the Woodjam copper-gold project owned by Vizsla Copper Corp. The final hole of this program was shut down in visible mineralization at a depth of 562 metres. Analytical results for this work (all four holes) have not yet been received from the assayer.

Lightning Strike gold project

Following completion of drilling at Cowtrail, a four-hole, 1,062-metre, self-financed drill program was initiated by Cariboo Rose on the Lightning Strike gold project located northeast of the community of 100 Mile House, B.C. Three of the holes have been processed, and samples shipped to the lab while cutting and sampling continue on the fourth hole. Analytical results have not yet been received for any of this drilling.

Over the past few years, Cariboo Rose Resources has predominantly disseminated news concerning its gold projects and less so on its copper projects. In this regard, shareholders are also reminded of the opportunities presented by the Pat and Carruthers Pass copper projects in addition to the Cowtrail copper-gold project.

Pat copper project

The Pat copper property is located 65 kilometres east of the community of Williams Lake, B.C., and covers the Patenaude Lake airborne magnetic anomaly discovered by the Geological Survey of Canada in 1968. This feature, occurring in Quesnel terrane rocks, is similar in shape, size and strength to the magnetic anomaly that underpins the Mount Polley mine (copper-gold) 35 kilometres to the northwest operated by Imperial Metals Corp. It is contiguous with the Woodjam copper-gold project owned by Vizsla Copper Corp. Cariboo Rose Resources (formerly Wildrose Resources) has held claims on this feature since 2004 and has completed seven diamond drill holes; none yet explaining the magnetic response.

Carruthers Pass project

The Carruthers Pass property is located in Northern British Columbia south of the Kemess copper-gold mine. Massive sulphide mineralization was discovered here by Freeport McMoRan Copper and Gold in 1997, and a 100-per-cent interest in the project was earned from Freeport by Cariboo Rose in 2012. Of major significance to the project is a mineralized slab of rock estimated at weighing several hundred tons protruding from talus with a diamond drill intercept through it of 3.1 metres (10 feet) grading 6.2 per cent copper, 5.8 per cent zinc, 2.37 grams per tonne gold and 192.0 g/t silver. The most recent work, completed in 2022, at a cost of approximately $2.0-million, included a VTEM electromagnetic airborne survey and four diamond drill holes. Numerous geochemical and geophysical targets remain untested, including some with highly anomalous cobalt values. A coincident copper-zinc geochemical anomaly parallels the host stratigraphy for several kilometres.
