GRANDE PORTAGE RESOURCES ANNOUNCES POSTING OF NEW AMALGA PROJECT PERMITTING SCHEDULES ON FAST-41 DASHBOARD

The official permitting timetable for Grande Portage Resources Ltd.'s New Amalga gold project in southeastern Alaska has been posted to the Federal Permitting Improvement Steering Council's (FPISC) Federal Permitting Dashboard, in line with New Amalga's status as a covered project under the FAST-41 federal permitting program.

The publication of the project's federal permitting schedule represents an important milestone in the regulatory process for New Amalga. The schedule provides a publicly accessible framework for tracking anticipated permitting milestones, agency responsibilities, and progress toward completion of the environmental review and permitting process.

The New Amalga gold project was accepted into the FAST-41 program on July 30, 2026, becoming a covered project under the program. The U.S. Forest Service serves as the lead federal permitting agency, with other federal agencies participating in the review and authorization process. The project's FAST-41 designation provides a framework for co-ordinated federal agency reviews and a publicly available permitting timetable, allowing interested viewers to monitor progress and any changes to anticipated milestones.

Under FAST-41, federal agencies are required to adhere to the completion dates established in the project's permitting timetable. Agencies that miss, or anticipate missing, a milestone must provide a written explanation and establish an alternative completion date, with continuing progress reports required for delayed actions. The Permitting Improvement Steering Council also provides congressional oversight through quarterly reports evaluating agency compliance with FAST-41 requirements.

The New Amalga gold project is a proposed small-footprint underground gold mine located approximately 20 miles north of Juneau, Alaska, within the Tongass National Forest. The project currently hosts a National Instrument 43-101 mineral resource of 1,438,500 ounces of indicated gold and 515,700 ounces of inferred gold. Its development concept contemplates direct shipment of ore for offsite processing, eliminating the need for an on-site processing plant and tailings storage facility.

Kyle Mehalek, PE, is the qualified person within the meaning of NI 43-101 and has reviewed and approved the technical disclosure in this release. Mr. Mehalek is independent of Grande Portage within the meaning of NI 43-101.

The MRE was prepared by Dr. David R. Webb, PhD, PGeol, PEng (DRW Geological Consultants Ltd.) with an effective date of July 17, 2024.
