GETTY COPPER INC. ANNOUNCES GRANTING OF OPTIONS

Getty Copper Inc., subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval, has granted, pursuant to its stock option plan, options to purchase a total of 1,787,890 shares of Getty as follows:

• Options to purchase one million shares of Getty, exercisable for a period of two years at five cents per share, to certain consultants of Getty;
• Options to purchase 787,890 shares of Getty, exercisable for a period of five years at five cents per share, to certain officers of Getty.
