Calgary, Alberta--(Newsfile Corp. - August 24, 2026) - Primary Hydrogen Corp. (TSXV: HDRO) (FSE: 83W) (OTCQB: HNATF) (the "Company" or "Primary") is pleased to announce that it has staked the Seagull North Project ("Seagull North" or the "Project"), comprising 313 contiguous single-cell mining claims covering approximately 65 square kilometres in the Thunder Bay Mining District of northwestern Ontario. The Project adjoins the northern boundary of the Seagull property, where a joint venture between Rift Minerals Inc. and Anteros Metals Inc. (CSE: ANT) is conducting one of Canada's first drill programs targeting natural hydrogen and helium alongside platinum group element mineralization.

"The Seagull intrusion, a ten-kilometer ultramafic body, is a rock type which generates natural hydrogen through water-rock reactions, and recent drilling on the adjoining property has reported hydrogen-bearing gas from two holes, with the deeper geophysical target only just being reached," said David Jackson, Chief Executive Officer of Primary Hydrogen. "We took the open ground along the northern boundary in one contiguous block. When a system starts returning gas at depth, you want the ground beside it - and now we have it."

The Seagull North Project

Seagull North comprises 313 contiguous single-cell mining claims (claim numbers 1053009 through 1053321) registered on Ontario's Mining Lands Administration System, covering approximately 65 square kilometres in the Thunder Bay Mining District. The Project forms a single east-west block adjoining the northern boundary of the Seagull property, approximately 80 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay in a road-accessible region that also hosts Impala Canada's Lac des Iles palladium mine. Compilation of government geoscience data will define the extent to which the Seagull intrusive system and its margin project onto the Company's claims.

The Adjoining Seagull Property

The Seagull property covers a roughly 10-kilometre-diameter Mesoproterozoic mafic-to-ultramafic intrusion of the Keweenawan Supergroup, emplaced into Archean Quetico Subprovince metasedimentary rocks within the Nipigon Embayment of the Midcontinent Rift. Anteros Metals Inc. has vested an initial 20% interest in the property and may earn up to a 49% interest under a joint venture agreement with Rift Minerals Inc.⁴

In 2026, the joint venture's deep drilling program returned the following (as reported by Anteros Metals):

  • Drill hole WM08-27EXT intersected a pressurized gas occurrence at approximately 825 metres depth, with gas samples from that interval returning carbon dioxide up to 88.6%, nitrogen up to 0.76% and 0.04% (400 ppm) hydrogen, before the hole advanced to approximately 1,200 metres (May 27, 2026)¹

  • A rush sample from drill hole WM00-05EXT, located 150 metres to the southwest and collected during hole repressurization, assayed 49.5% nitrogen, 44.2% carbon dioxide, 5.6% methane and 0.65% (6,500 ppm) hydrogen (May 27, 2026)¹

  • Hole WM00-05EXT was subsequently completed to a depth of 1,449 metres, intersecting the eastern portion of a deep, low acoustic velocity geophysical target; Anteros reported that the relationship between the gases and that target is not yet resolved, and that it intends to seal all drill casings, install pressure gauges and release valves, and collect further gas seepage in pressurized stainless-steel canisters for analysis (June 8, 2026)³

Historical exploration on the Seagull property, as reported by the adjoining operators, includes more than 20,000 metres of drilling by prior operators that delineated nickel-copper-PGE mineralization along the intrusion's basal contact to depths of approximately 850 metres, and a historical drill hole that reportedly intersected pressurized, flammable gas near 850 metres depth.²

All results described above are company-reported by the adjoining operators and have not been independently verified by the Company. Historical results have not been verified by the Company. Hydrogen occurrences, mineralization and exploration results on adjacent properties are not necessarily indicative of the geology of, or the presence of natural hydrogen, helium or mineralization on, the Company's claims, and there can be no assurance that similar results will be obtained on the Project.

Geology and Exploration Thesis

Serpentinization - the reaction of water with iron-rich ultramafic rocks - is one of the principal geological processes understood to generate natural hydrogen, and radiogenic decay in Archean basement rocks is a recognized source of helium. The Company interprets the northern flank of the Seagull intrusive system as prospective for structurally controlled migration and accumulation of gases generated within or beneath the intrusion, with the intrusion's margins and associated faults representing potential pathways. These interpretations are conceptual: no drilling, sampling or geophysical surveying has been carried out by the Company on the Project, and no hydrogen, helium or mineral occurrence has been documented on the Project to date. Natural hydrogen exploration is an emerging field, and exploration methodologies for it continue to evolve.

Planned Work

The Company's initial program will comprise compilation of the extensive historical drilling and geophysical datasets covering the district, integration with Ontario Geological Survey mapping, and structural interpretation to define targets on the Project. A ground program will follow from that work.

LIFE Offering Update

The Company also announces that, further to its news releases dated June 4, 2026, June 23, 2026 and July 8, 2026, the Company has unwound and rescinded $10,000 worth of subscriptions previously completed on pursuant to the Company's non-brokered private placement that closed on July 8, 2026. In particular $5,000 worth of subscriptions by each of Martin Kowcun and William Timothy Heenan, both directors of the Company, were unwound and an aggregate of 16,666 units were cancelled and returned to treasury. The total number of units issued pursuant to the Offering is now 2,442,904 units for aggregate gross proceeds of $1,465,742 following the adjustment noted above.
