Program to assess seven historical mine areas for gold, silver and base metals; review to include evaluation of rare earth element potential
Vancouver, British Columbia – TheNewswire - November 5, 2026 – Bighorn Metals Corp. (the “Company”) (CSE: HRNY) announces that Phase I exploration is underway at its Marietta Project located within Mineral County, Nevada in the Silver Star Mining District in the Excelsior Mountains (the “Project”). Building on the program outlined in the Company’s news release of November 3, 2026, Phase I will assess historical gold, silver, copper and other base-metal occurrences across the Project. It will also include a preliminary evaluation of the potential for rare earth elements (“REEs”). The program’s objective is to generate modern geological data to guide future exploration.
Rare Earth Elements Included in Exploration Review
In addition to assessing the Project’s historically reported precious- and base-metal occurrences, the Company intends to review available historical records for indications of REEs and evaluate appropriate opportunities for geological examination and sampling. Any potential REE targets will require modern analytical testing and technical interpretation before their significance can be determined.
The Company emphasizes that REE potential remains preliminary. The Company has not identified any REE mineralization at the Project, and no current REE mineral resource or economically recoverable REE deposit has been established.
Seven Historical Mine Areas and Multi-Metal Occurrences
The Marietta Project encompasses seven historical mine areas, including the Sultana, Endowment, Black Hawk and London Silver-Lead areas. Historical records describe a network of shafts, multilevel underground workings, adits, declines, prospect pits and mine dumps. An existing road network provides access to numerous historical workings. Historical mining and sampling activities have reported occurrences of gold, silver, copper and other base metals.
Modern Fieldwork to Assess Historical Targets
The Phase I program is designed to compile and assess available historical exploration records, relocate and map historical workings, undertake reconnaissance prospecting and geological mapping, and examine selected rock exposures and mine dumps. Subject to access and safety conditions, the Company also anticipates sampling historical surface and underground workings, together with surface trenching and a comprehensive soil survey.
The resulting information is intended to assist the Company in evaluating mineralization trends, identifying areas for further investigation, including potential REE targets, and prioritizing possible follow-up work. Subject to results, permitting, access, financing and other operating considerations, the program may inform planning for a subsequent Phase II drilling program.
Independent Technical Review
The Company has engaged Gregory C. Ferdock, M.Sc., CPG, to prepare an independent technical report on the Project in accordance with National Instrument 43-101 – Standards of Disclosure for Mineral Projects (“NI 43-101”). A site visit is being coordinated as part of that process.
Qualified Person
The scientific and technical information in this news release has been reviewed and approved by Gregory C. Ferdock, M.Sc., CPG, a consultant to the Company and an independent Qualified Person as defined by NI 43-101. Mr. Ferdock has not yet completed a site visit to the Project or verified the historical data disclosed in this news release, and that historical information should not be relied upon until it has been verified.

About Bighorn Metals Corp.
The Company is an exploration-stage natural resource company engaged in the evaluation, acquisition and exploration of mineral properties, with a view to advancing prospective mineral properties through exploration and evaluation. The Company’s current mineral property interests are the Marietta Project in Nevada and the Loljuh Project in British Columbia.
Marietta Project, Nevada
The Company holds an exploration lease with an option to acquire a 100% undivided interest in the Marietta Project. The Property is in the Silver Star Mining District in the Excelsior Mountains, Mineral County, Nevada. It is made up of 12 patented lode mining claims and an adjoining townsite parcel, which together cover parts of Sections 29 through 32, Township 5 North, Range 33 East, Mount Diablo Meridian.
Loljuh Project, British Columbia
The Company holds an option to acquire the Loljuh porphyry copper-gold project (the “Loljuh Project”). The Loljuh Project is one claim covering 1,656.73 hectares in the Omineca Mining Division of central British Columbia. It is about 40 km south of Smithers and 32 km west of Houston. The Loljuh Project is prospective for porphyry copper-gold mineralization.
Geochemical work in 2019 outlined several areas of anomalous gold and copper in soil. The surveys were widespread, with lines 400 metres apart and samples taken on 200-metre centres. Rock sampling in 2019 also returned anomalous copper and gold values from several sites within the plateau area. The aeromagnetic survey outlined several areas of alteration.
