Drill crews and geological team back on site as the Company advances toward its next phase of exploration
TORONTO, ONTARIO – TheNewswire - July 22, 2026 – LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: LME | OTCQB: LMEFF | FSE: 5YD) ("LAURION" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has remobilized its full field team and resumed the Phase 1 diamond drilling program at its 100%-owned Ishkōday Gold and Polymetallic Project (the " Project ") in the Beardmore-Geraldton Greenstone Belt of Northwestern Ontario, following significant rainfall and improved air quality conditions across the region.
As previously announced on July 15, 2026, the Company voluntarily – and temporarily – suspended field operations and evacuated all personnel from site at the Project in response to active wildfires and hazardous smoke conditions affecting the Beardmore area. With recent rainfall easing fire activity across Northwestern Ontario, no evacuation order or alert currently in effect for the Municipality of Greenstone, and air quality at site returning to safe levels, the Company's drilling contractor, Forage GeoNord, and full geological team have returned to the Project and drilling has resumed.
"Our team is back on the ground at Ishkōday, and we couldn’t be more energized to get back to work," said Cynthia Le Sueur-Aquin, President and CEO of LAURION. "This has been a challenging week, and I want to thank our geological team, our drilling contractors, and the communities of Northwestern Ontario for their resilience during this period. Safety came first throughout, and now that conditions allow it, we’re excited to get our drills turning again and keep building toward our next set of results at the A-Zone."
With the program back underway, LAURION remains focused on advancing its Phase 1 drilling at the A-Zone, targeting continued definition of gold and polymetallic mineralisation within the Project. The Company looks forward to providing updates on drilling progress and results as they become available.
