The Globe and Mail reports in its Tuesday, Nov. 18, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Benoit Poirier continues to rank MDA Space "buy." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Poirier gave his share target a $4 trim to $39. Analysts on average target the shares at $39.31. Mr. Poirier says in a note: "We believe the current share price already reflects risks tied to the reliance of MDA's Globalstar contract on Apple, with an estimated downside of $25/share from multiple compression and loss of the contract. Conversely, a new constellation win would significantly boost investor confidence in MDA's global standing, and comments on the call suggested the pipeline remains active." The Globe reported on June 24 and Sept. 10 that Mr. Poirier continued to rate MDA Space "buy." The shares could then be had for $31.85 and $32.99. The Globe reported on Oct. 31 that Scotiabank analyst Konark Gupta said the market was making negative bets on MDA Space. He said the company was "underperforming." The shares were then going for $27.38.
