OVATION SCIENCE INC. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Ovation Science Inc. has appointed Joan Chypyha as chief financial officer of the company, effective immediately.

Ms. Chypyha brings over 30 years of executive and operational management experience across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. She is the founder, president and chief executive officer of Alto Pharmaceuticals Ltd., where she leads commercial strategy, business operations and financial management. Alto Pharmaceuticals holds an interest in Pepper & Pink Inc., a company focused on launching branded and private label personal care products.

Her background includes serving as president of Cipher Pharmaceuticals, general manager at Barrier Therapeutics Canada, and 16 years at Hoffmann-La Roche in senior leadership, business development and strategic operational roles, including as director of the dermatology business unit. Ms. Chypyha also brings public company governance experience, including as an independent director and audit committee member of Edesa Biotech Inc. This experience encompasses financial oversight, regulatory compliance, capital allocation and public market strategy. Ms. Chypyha has served as a director of the company and will continue to serve on the board of directors.

In connection with her appointment, Ms. Chypyha has resigned as a member of the company's audit committee, effective concurrently with her appointment as chief financial officer. The board of directors has appointed Ronald Stern to the audit committee to fill the resulting vacancy.
