The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Dec. 7, edition that Stifel analyst Cole Pereira continues to rate Pason Systems "hold." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Pereira gave his share target a 50-cent boost to $16. Analysts on average target the shares at $17.29. Pason Systems recently agreed to buy the remaining common shares of its noncontrolling interest in Intelligent Wellhead Systems for $95-million. Mr. Pereira says in a note: "While we forecast only $17-million of 2024 EBITDAS from the acquisition (up 10 per cent), we believe it has meaningful long-term potential that could drive EBITDAS growth as much as 50 per cent over a number of years. Moreover, Pason Systems has done so without issuing any shares and maintaining its fortress balance sheet, informing our positive view." The Globe reported on June 16 that Mr. Pereira was maintaining his "hold" recommendation for Pason Systems. Its shares could then be had for $11.66. The Globe reported on July 6 that TD Securities analyst Aaron MacNeil rated Pason Systems "buy" in new coverage. The shares could then be had for $11.50.
