QUANTUM EMOTION APPOINTS BERNARD CROTTY TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Quantum Emotion Corp. has appointed a new independent director, Bernard Crotty, to its board of directors, effective Sept. 30, 2026. Mr. Crotty is the former chairman and chief executive officer of Certicom Corp., a pioneer in elliptic-curve cryptography. Certicom Corp. licensed its security technology to major technology companies and was acquired in 2009 by Research In Motion, the company now known as BlackBerry Ltd. Mr. Crotty also led Connetix Tiles, an identification and authentication company, and later served as president of NorthWest Healthcare Properties REIT. Earlier in his career, he practised law as a partner at McCarthy Tetrault LLP and as counsel at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, adding cross-border legal and regulatory experience to his technology and governance background.

Mr. Crotty was granted 500,000 stock options to purchase common shares of the corporation at an exercise price of $2.48 per share. The options have a 10-year term and will vest equally on each monthly anniversary of the date of grant over a period of four years.

The corporation also wishes to thank David Wayne Teeple who resigned as director of the corporation effective Sept. 30, 2026. He is expected to continue to support the corporation in other capacities.
