ROOTS EXPANDS TRAVEL RETAIL PRESENCE WITH NEW STORE AT VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (YVR)

Roots Corp. has opened a new store at the Vancouver International Airport, marking the latest milestone of the brand's growing travel retail expansion. The store is operated in partnership with travel retailer Hudson, part of Avolta.

"Our product assortment is uniquely suited for comfort and travel, making airports a natural extension of our retail strategy," said Meghan Roach, president and chief executive officer of Roots. "Opening at YVR allows us to connect with both Canadian and international travellers at a key global gateway, building on our long-standing success of serving consumers in tourism and travel destinations."

The YVR store joins Roots growing network of travel retail locations. With an established presence at Taoyuan International Airport in Taiwan, Roots continues to expand its footprint in travel destinations where consumers are looking for premium apparel and accessories designed for comfort, versatility and outdoor lifestyle wear.

Product assortment at the Roots YVR store includes top-selling apparel and accessories like the iconic Original Sweats, Vancouver graphic fleece and T-shirts, made in Canada collections, and novelty accessories such as Beaver stuffies, keychains and signature Cabin socks. Select styles from the Vancouver graphic fleece and T-shirt collections are exclusive to this location.

To officially welcome the new store, Roots and YVR hosted a grand opening celebration at YVR on July 23, bringing together airport partners, media and invited guests.

Roots YVR is located at Gate E88 in the U.S. departures terminal after security.
