SPARK ENERGY MINERALS ANNOUNCES UPSIZING OF PRIVATE PLACEMENT TO $550,000

Due to strong investor demand, Spark Energy Minerals Inc. intends to increase the size of its previously announced non-brokered private placement to up to $550,000. The offering will consist of up to 9,166,667 units of the company sold at a price of six cents per unit.

Each unit will consist of one common share in the capital of the company and one common share purchase warrant. Each warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one share at a price of seven cents for a period of three years from the closing date of the offering.

The proceeds of the offering will be used to advance exploration work at the Arapaima project in Brazil's Lithium Valley and general working capital.

All securities to be issued pursuant to the offering will be subject to a statutory four-month-and-one-day hold period. Finders' fees may be payable in connection with the offering, all in accordance with the policies of the Canadian Securities Exchange.
