The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, May 7, edition that TD Cowen analyst Aaron Bilkoski has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Topaz Energy. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Bilkoski boosted his share target by a loonie to $35. Analysts on average target the shares at $33.33. Mr. Bilkoski says in a note: "Operationally and financially, Topaz walks the line between upstream royalty vehicle and a stable contracted infrastructure vehicle. However, we find it is still viewed as a Tourmaline-linked natural gas royalty. With currently weak natural gas prices and increasing investor pressure for WCSB gas producers to trim capex, in this note we provide a glimpse into what Topaz would look like if gas was $0/mcf." The Globe reported on Jan. 9 that National Bank Financial analysts Dan Payne and Travis Wood had reiterated their "outperform" call for Topaz. The shares could then be had for $27.11. The Globe reported on Feb. 25 that Canaccord Genuity analyst Mike Mueller had reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Topaz Energy. The shares could then be had for $30.53.
