ARGENTINA METALS ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF ROGER CLEGG AS CEO AND RAYMOND D. HARARI TRANSITIONS TO PRESIDENT

Argentina Metals Corp. has appointed Roger Clegg as Argentina Metals' chief executive officer and director. Raymond D. Harari has transitioned to the company's president.

"I am very pleased to welcome Roger as our new chief executive officer. As we transition into this next phase, I look forward to working closely with Roger and the broader team to build on the progress we have made and to prepare the company for the upcoming field season," said Titus Gebel, chairman of the board of directors of Argentina Metals. "There is considerable work under way, and Roger's leadership, combined with his technical expertise and corporate finance experience, will be an important addition as we execute our plans. I am excited that Ray Harari continues playing an active role as president and to work alongside Roger as we advance the company and create value for our shareholders."

Mr. Clegg is a senior mining and natural resources executive with more than 25 years of international experience across geology, corporate finance, investment banking and executive leadership. Prior to joining Argentina Metals, Mr. Clegg was head of natural resources at Imara Corporate Finance, advising mining companies, governments and state-owned enterprises on M&A (mergers and acquisitions), financing, royalties and strategic transactions. Previously, he served as chief operating officer of Ambrian PLC, helping develop the business into an international commodity trading and logistics group with annual turnover exceeding $2-billion (U.S.). Mr. Clegg also held senior mining finance positions at Barclays Capital and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson and began his career as a consultant exploration geologist working in South America, Africa and Russia. He brings extensive technical, financial, capital markets and corporate leadership experience to the company.

Mr. Clegg, chief executive officer of Argentina Metals, said: "I am excited to join the company at such an important stage and to work closely with the VLLC team as we prepare for the upcoming field season. Ray has built a strong foundation for the company, and I look forward to collaborating with him in his new role as president while bringing my own blend of technical and corporate finance experience to the team. I believe that combination of skills and perspectives will be highly complementary as we move the company's projects forward, execute on our field program and position the company for its next stage of growth."

The company's board and management now consists of:

  • Enrique Reichhard -- vice-president, exploration;
  • Julio Pulisich -- director;
  • Tim Heenan -- director;
  • Martin Hoff -- director;
  • Carlo Rigillo -- chief financial officer.

The company also announces that, subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange and in accordance with the company's restricted share unit plan, Argentina Metals' board of directors has approved the grant of two million restricted share units to Mr. Clegg vesting over four years and Mr. Harari has agreed to voluntarily surrender 500,000 RSUs that were granted on June 24, 2026.
