Volta closes buy of three claims next to Springer

2026-08-19 19:21 ET - News Release

Mr. Kerem Usenmez reports

VOLTA METALS ANNOUNCES CLOSING OF ACQUISITION OF CLAIMS CONTIGUOUS TO THE SPRINGER REE PROJECT

Volta Metals Ltd. has closed its previously announced acquisition of a 100-per-cent interest in three contiguous unpatented mining claims (mining claim No. 722235, 722236 and 722237) adjoining its Springer rare earth element deposit, near Sturgeon Falls, Ont. The acquisition consolidates the ground surrounding the deposit into a single, contiguous block and gives Volta a clear path to 100-per-cent ownership of the entire Springer project land package.

In consideration for the acquisition of the acquired claims, the company issued 600,000 common shares of the company. Further details of the acquisition of the acquired claims are provided in the company's press release dated Aug. 11, 2026.

The shares issued pursuant to the agreement are subject to a hold period of four months and one day from the date of issuance under applicable Canadian securities laws.

About Volta Metals Ltd.

Volta Metals is a critical mineral exploration company focused on rare earths, gallium, lithium, cesium and tantalum. Volta owns, has optioned and is currently exploring a critical mineral portfolio of rare earth, gallium, lithium, cesium and tantalum projects in Ontario, one of the world's most prolific and emerging hardrock critical mineral districts.

Volta is advancing its 4,750-hectare Springer REE deposit, located on the traditional territory of the Nipissing First Nation in Sturgeon Falls. The Springer rare earth element deposit sits approximately 70 kilometres east of Sudbury, Ont., with direct access through the Trans-Canada Highway and Highway 64. The project benefits from well-developed infrastructure, including paved road access, on-site power lines fed from the Crystal Falls hydroelectric dam, a natural gas pipeline and Canadian National Railway service, all within eight kilometres of the deposit.
