The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Monday was a weak 67-108-135 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose fractionally to 608. Jonathan Evans's Lithium Americas Corp. (LAC), a busy lithium explorer in Argentina and Nevada, continues to percolate. Today, it rose 83 cents to $30.04 on 720,000 shares. The market can still divine details of a second, Diavik, from the production reports issued by its now 100-per-cent owner, Rio Tinto PLC, but for a third, Ekati, production and financial details are akin to state secrets, as it is now owned by a private company, Arctic Canada Diamond Co.
