The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score on Thursday was a positive 81-64-165 as the TSX Venture Exchange added three points to 586. Ewan Mason's Star Diamond Corp. (DIAM) rose one-half cent to seven cents on 657,000 shares. There is still no update to the company's Fort a la Corne resource estimate, but expect one soon, the company says.

Gabriel Rubacha's NOA Lithium Brines Inc. (NOAL) closed unchanged at 22 cents on 1,000 shares. The company is cheering an updated resource at the Rio Grande project in northern Argentina. The company lists 870 million cubic metres measured and indicated averaging 576 milligrams per litre and 820 million cubic metres inferred at 468 mg/l, good for a combined 4.7 million tonnes of lithium carbonate equivalent.

The calculation, enthuses Mr. Rubacha, chief executive officer, is a substantial increase over the earlier calculation for the company's flagship Rio Grande project. The update, he enthuses, "highlights the progress NOA's team has made and emphasizes that this project continues to develop into a world-class asset." And so, he and his crew are looking forward to starting a second stage of drilling to continue developing the project and unlocking value for their shareholders.
