The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Wednesday was an upbeat 99-60-151 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose six points to 606. Laura Lee Duffett's Tres-Or Resources Ltd. (TRS) added a cent to seven cents on 12,000 shares when it last traded on Thursday.
Tres-Or has long pursued diamonds, mainly around the Lake Timiskaming area of Ontario and Quebec, although most recently it has touted plans to explore for gems in Brazil. He moved to De Beers Group's marine mining project in Namibia, then drifted over to alluvial diamonds in South Africa. Mr. Doyle's most recent De Beers experience occurred between 2003 and 2011, when he worked as exploration manager with De Beers Canada, where he had a heavy hand in the development of the company's Victor, Gahcho Kue and Snap Lake mines.
