What a change a day makes: The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Friday was a fantastic 137-48-125 as the TSX Venture Exchange rebounded 45 points to 1,015. Li-FT Power Ltd. (LIFT) lived up to its ticker today, rising 95 cents to $6.98 on 78,000 shares. It had been as low as $5.86 yesterday, but remember that it opened at $8 on Tuesday.

Martin Turenne's FPX Nickel Corp. (FPX) added two cents to 57 cents on 182,000 shares. The company has new assays from its Baptiste nickel project in central British Columbia. The results are from three holes drilled for geotechnical purposes but were nevertheless selectively tested. The first hole produced a 290.65-metre interval at depth that graded 0.134 per cent recoverable nickel, while a 345-metre run of surface-based mineralization in a second hole managed 0.117 per cent. The third hole encountered a 66-metre near-surface zone with 0.103 per cent recoverable nickel.
