The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Friday was a positive 109-87-115 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose four points to 1,012. First Atlantic Nickel & Cobalt Corp. (FAN) had a good day following yesterday's five-cent gain, as it rose four cents to 95 cents on 3.22 million shares. The company has just added hydrogen to its commodities wish list.
Claudia Tornquist's Kodiak Copper Corp. (KDK) added six cents to 94 cents on 120,000 shares Thursday on word that metallurgical work on rock samples from its MPD copper and gold project in south-central British Columbia has produced positive results and robust recoveries. Optimized rougher flotation tests, Kodiak cheers, delivered improved performance relative to previous work, and with less energy invested into liberation thanks to a higher grind size. Rougher recoveries of up to 91.1 per cent for copper and just over 80 per cent for gold and silver were achieved.
