The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Friday was a downward 69-96-145 as the TSX Venture Exchange fell 15 points to 989. VR Resources Ltd. (VRR) continued its surge, getting to 57 cents early on, before succumbing to the fall and ending the week down one cent to 46 cents on 6.69 million shares. A 9.5-center on Wednesday, VR Resources took flight on word of long, high-grade assays at New Boston in Nevada.

In a wee bit of good news, Largo Inc. (LGO) has clawed out of continued listing review purgatory with the TSX. Last October, the company said that it was relying on a financial hardship exemption as it sought to sell 14.26 million shares at $1.22 (U.S.) apiece, with each share accompanied by a five-year warrant exercisable at that price. Concurrently, Largo said it was selling 4.92 million shares to a major shareholder, Arias Resource Capital Fund, on the same terms.

Invoking the hardship clause triggered the TSX to start its listing review. Meanwhile, word of the financing, the admitted financial hardship and the resulting review triggered a flood of selling from shareholders. Largo, a $46 stock in 2018, when its Maracas Menchen vanadium mine in Brazil could do no wrong, but just $3.50 before the financing, managed to halve itself in frantic trading. The panic subsided, but so did the stock, getting as low as 78 cents a month ago.
