New York spot gold fell $1.80 Monday, closing at $2,719.10. The TSX Venture Exchange added 1.34 points to 623.01 while the TSX gold index added 2.11 points to 409.47. Avino Silver & Gold Mines Ltd. (ASM) jumped 16 cents to $2.02 on 829,000 shares on word of a productive third quarter, while Robex Resources Inc. (RBX) fell seven cents to $2.67 on 1.56 million shares in silence.

Collin Kettell's Nevada King Gold Corp. (NKG) lost 1.5 cents to 37 cents on 210,000 shares on word it has drilled a 12.2-metre interval grading 3.48 grams of gold and 12.6 grams of silver per tonne. The hit came at depth in the Wild West Target (WWT) zone of its Atlanta gold project in east-central Nevada. A 9.1-metre subinterval that ran 4.32 grams of gold and 14.2 grams of silver per tonne was the highlight of the hit, as the other 3.1 metres on the upper and lower fringes averaged just one gram of gold and 7.9 grams of silver per tonne.
