The B.C. Securities Commission has fined Vancouver-area promoter Christopher Anderson for failing to report $2.09-million worth of trades. The BCSC says that Mr. Anderson, who was an insider of five companies, did not file reports for roughly half of his trades. The trades at issue occurred over a period of about four years.

The fine for Mr. Anderson is contained in a relatively brief settlement agreement that the BCSC issued on Wednesday, Aug. 19. To resolve the case, Mr. Anderson has agreed to pay $50,000. In entering the settlement, he has admitted to the violations.

The trades at issue, as set out by the BCSC, began in January, 2020, and ran through to December, 2023. They were in five companies, which the settlement lists as Alliance Mining Corp., GGX Gold Corp., Golden Dawn Minerals Inc., Great Atlantic Resources Corp. and Ximen Mining Corp. At the time, Mr. Anderson was the president, chief executive officer or a significant shareholder of the companies.
