The diamond and specialty minerals stocks box score for Tuesday was a terrible 30-148-152 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose six points to 956. It is a thin trader, one that last traded a board lot a week ago, but at least it trades, unlike its last two years as Golden Share Resources Corp., when it was looking to complete a reverse transaction to become what is now Ken Johnson's Lipari Mining Ltd. (LML). Lipari, unchanged at 37 cents on 57 shares today, is mining diamonds at Brauna in Brazil, but it wants to become a much larger miner in Angola.
Late last week, Lipari filed an "amended and restated" technical report covering the company's Tchiuzo kimberlite, on its new-to-it Tchitengo project in Angola -- a little bit of legalese that translates to "corrected." Some of the changes -- arguably most -- were more cosmetic than material, including changes to the title page, the addition of a signature page and throwing in a table of contents. There was, however, one noteworthy alteration to the previous report -- the resource estimate.
