The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Friday was a pleasing 107-63-140 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose 15 points to 937. Seven-cent E-Power Resources Inc. (EPR) continued its slow-motion management shuffle Thursday, or as the company puts it, "significant appointments to its executive leadership and advisory teams," moves "designed to implement a robust, focused and value-driven development plan for the Tetepisca graphite project in Quebec."
And so, E-Power appointed Jean-Michel Gauthier as its chief executive officer. He replaces Jamie Lavigne, who for the past two months had been the temporary replacement for James Cross, who took a "leave of absence while tending to personal matters." (Mr. Cross made his leave permanent two weeks ago by resigning, and Mr. Lavigne, who initially had been vice-president of exploration, has shuffled into the role of chief operating officer.)
E-Power has also appointed Mark Billings as chairman, which means he was also added to the company's board. E-Power elected a four-man board early this month, with Michael Danielsson, Alexander Haffmans and Alexis de al Renaudiere joining Mr. Lavigne. (It is unclear if the company now has a five-man board, or if a recent departure was lost among the flurry of changes.)
