The critical and specialty minerals box score for Tuesday was a mediocre 96-97-117 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose two points to 1,143. Vanguard Mining Corp. (UUU) had another strong day, jumping 9.5 cents to 38.5 cents on 11.77 million shares. The leap follows Monday's 12-cent rise to 29 cents on 17.62 million shares, which resulted from word late Friday that assays from one of two holes drilled at its Redonda project, northeast of Campbell River in British Columbia, had returned 0.244 per cent copper and 112 parts per million of molybdenum across 350 metres.

Martin Kepman's Manganese X Energy Corp. (MN) rose one-half cent to 16 cents on 602,000 shares. The company is cheering the formation of "G7-anchored buyers' clubs for critical minerals" -- a Costco for international institutional buyers of sorts -- or as the company puts it, "a strategy aimed at securing allied, ethical and resilient supply chains for the global energy transition" that had been proposed by Mark Carney at the recent World Economic Forum in Davos.
