The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score on Monday was a positive 98-72-140 as the TSX Venture Exchange rose 10 points to 1,118. Vince Sorace's Kutcho Copper Corp. (KC) lost two cents to 42 cents on 179,000 shares. On Friday the company applauded the closing of its $3-million private placement, in which it sold nearly seven million flow-through shares at 43 cents apiece. The cash is for further work on its eponymous Kutcho copper and zinc project, 120 kilometres east of Dease Lake in northernmost British Columbia.
Kutcho Copper launched the placement a month ago, and since then it has been flapping its promotional gums about its flagship project. First, the company cheered the "volcanogenic massive sulphides district-scale exploration potential" on the property, citing the presence of more than 10 regional and near-resource targets with the "potential to meet or exceed our initiative of significant resource expansion."
