The critical and specialty minerals stocks box score for Thursday was a bleak 55-126-129 as the TSX Venture Exchange slid 26 points to 931. Tinone Resources Inc. (TORC), up two cents to 7.5 cents on 136,000 shares, is going through the change. On Tuesday, the company said that Rob Curtis had moved into the corner office as chief executive officer, with the old CEO, Chris Donaldson, becoming chairman, a role often used as a halfway house for departing Howe Streeters. Tinone offered Mr. Donaldson thanks for his leadership in building the company's current project portfolio and welcomed his continued contribution. Perhaps so, but as often as not, those contributions end a few months down the road.

The new man is wasting little time. On Wednesday, Mr. Curtis and his crew said that Tinone is offering 15 million shares at five cents, seeking $750,000 to advance the company's Tasmanian projects and for working capital. There are two Tasmanian projects in Tinone's portfolio according to its website. One is the Great Pyramid project, which hosts 8.4 million tonnes inferred at 0.17 per cent tin, about 14,400 tonnes of contained tin. The other is the Aberfoyle project, which has produced lithium in sampling programs, and which has not seen modern systematic exploration for tin and tungsten.
