Yesterday, Americas fell 48 cents to $5.69 on 3.53 million shares on word it is buying the Crescent gold mine in Idaho for $65-million (U.S.), agreeing to acquire its owner, Crescent Silver LLC, for $20-million (U.S.) in cash and $45-million (U.S.) of stock valued at $4 (U.S.) per share. (Naturally, with Americas Gold conceding that its stock was worth only $5.60 Canadian, the market tagged along.)
