New York spot gold lost $4.60 Tuesday, ending the day at $4,129.50. The TSX Venture Exchange added 11.79 points to 892.26 while the TSX gold index gained 0.93 point to 757.99. Orezone Gold Corp. (ORE) had a good day, adding nine cents to $1.49 on 4.6 million shares. It made the move in silence, as did Lundin Gold Corp. (LUG), which lost $2.49 to $112.93 on 1.66 million shares.

In other words, it is a catchier moniker for a company exploring what it calls its Treasure Island project, lying along the Valentine fault in central Newfoundland, near the Valentine Lake mine, where Equinox Gold Corp. (EQX) recently held its first gold pour at the multimillion-ounce operation. (Equinox Gold added three cents to $18.06 on 5.6 million shares today.)
