The Investment Reporter, in its July 1, 2022, issue, says buy Aecon Group Inc., recently $13.00. Previously, the Reporter said buy on Feb. 28, 2002, at $5, and Dec. 20, 2002, at $4.15. The Reporter then said sell on Feb. 18, 2005, at $6.40. Assuming an investment of $1,000 for each of the two buys, selling the $2,000 position at $6.40 would have yielded a profit of $786. The Reporter then said buy six times from Oct. 5, 2007, to June 8, 2018, at prices ranging from $8.14 to $16.43. An investment of $1,000 for each of the six buys would now be worth $6,188. Aecon Group is a construction company that provides services in the infrastructure, industrial and concession segments. The company pays a dividend of 74 cents a share, which is equal to a very attractive yield of 5.5 per cent. Most importantly, the dividend appears to be sustainable as Aecon earns more than it pays out as a dividend. The main risk, naturally, is a possible recession. Nonetheless, the Reporter says buy Aecon Group.
