CERES GLOBAL AG CORP. TRANSFERS WHOLESALE DISTRIBUTION OF SEED BUSINESS

Ceres Global Ag Corp., effective July 1, 2023, will transfer the distribution of Sevita-branded soybeans in the Western Canadian market to Sevita International and will transfer the distribution of Horizon-branded corn products to Horizon Seeds Canada Inc.

"Over the past several years, the soybean and corn seed distribution industry has experienced significant consolidation," said Carlos Paz, president and chief executive officer of Ceres. "By making strategic changes to our Seed segment, we are responding to these industry trends, enabling us to sharpen our focus on our core business and vision of enabling our customers to do great things."

Through Ceres's retail network, the corporation will continue to work closely with Sevita and Horizon to deliver genetics for Manitoba soybean and corn growers. Ceres will also maintain its retail soybean and corn seed business in Beausejour, Jordan and Gladstone. The Beausejour facility will continue to retail crop protection products.
