The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 27, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Jerome Dubreuil has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Converge Technology Solutions. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Dubreuil has an unchanged $4.50 share target. Analysts on average target the shares at $5.33. Mr. Dubreuil cut his forecasts for IT service providers to reflect higher interest rates and the downside risk for near-term estimates, acknowledging soaring interest in artificial intelligence is "showing promising signs of growth" but warning investors it is "not material yet." Mr. Dubreuil says in a note: "The company prereleased an 8-per-cent adjusted EBITDA beat in the quarter (at the mid-point of guidance), with double-digit organic growth in gross profit. This is a step in the right direction but we believe investors are still waiting to see more consistency in results." The Globe reported on June 7 that Echelon Capital analyst Rob Goff rated Converge "buy." It was then worth $3.47. The Globe reported on June 28 that Eight Capital analysts Adhir Kadve and Christian Sgro had maintained their "buy" recommendation on Converge when it could be had for $3.06.
