The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Jan. 18, edition that National Bank Financial analyst John Shao continues to rate Converge Technology Solutions "outperform," with an unchanged $6 share target. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $6.47. Mr. Shao says in a note: "For Converge Technology Solutions, the past year has been volatile with paused M&A and a strategic review falling through. That volatility has also been reflected in the stock price and as a result, [it] is currently trading at a discount to peers. Looking ahead, we believe a consistent track record of execution and simplified growth story will drive the rerating for Converge Technology to close its valuation gap to peers. For a company in the ITSP business with a critical scale, the execution risk also looks moderate to us." The Globe reported on Nov. 2, 2022, that Mr. Shao had reiterated his "outperform" recommendation for Converge Technology. The shares could then be had for $5.49. The Globe reported on June 28, 2023, that Eight Capital analysts Adhir Kadve and Christian Sgro had maintained their "buy" recommendation on Converge when it could be had for $3.06.
