The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Nov. 24, edition that Stifel analyst Martin Landry has reaffirmed his "hold" recommendation for Goodfood Market. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that the Stifel stockpicker gave his share target a 15-cent trim to 50 cents. Analysts on average target the shares at 63 cents. The Globe says while Mr. Landry sees the 26-per-cent year-over-year drop in Goodfood Market's fourth quarter revenue as "striking," he says it is "not a major concern," given it was "offset by a significant reversal of profitability." Mr. Landry says in a note: "Looking at FY23, adjusted EBITDA turned positive and came-in at $4.7-million compared to a loss of $41-million in the previous year, an impressive recovery in a short time frame. Focus will now turn to revenue growth as future growth in EBITDA and ultimately positive free cash flow will have to come from top-line growth given most cost-cutting measures are completed. However, our visibility on a return to revenue growth remains limited given the difficult macroeconomic environment. ... We would like to see sustainable free cash flows in order to change our stance on Goodfood."
